In collaboration with Moonshot and local experts, Google and Jigsaw have prepared for you educational videos on how to address some of the most prevalent tactics used to manipulate Ukrainians online. Find information and tips to help you better identify misinformation.

Emotional manipulation is a common technique in disinformation. If you see overly emotional online news or statements that provokes strong feelings like anger or fear to reduce your critical thinking, this is a sign of emotional manipulation.

Astroturfing is a common technique where identical comments are spread online about a certain topic, or a news story generalizes the opinion of a large group of people. These are signs of astroturfing.

Decontextualization is a common form of manipulation online. If you see news that doesn't include sources, lacks key background information, or if you have a feeling this content is fake or edited, it could be decontextualization.
